DAVIS, Elsie Denton - Putnam

Mrs. Elsie (Denton) Davis, 89, formerly of 210 Morgan died Monday at Houland House. She was born June 22, 1889, the daughter of John and Ann (Frazier) Denton. She was married to David Ader Davis who preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1968. She attended DePauw University where she was a student in the School of Art. She was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, Art League, Flower Lovers Club, Antique (?) Group and Modernae Athenae. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. S.P. (Virginia) Hughes, Edina, Minn., Mrs. W. Edwin (Jean) Hobson, Santa Barbara, Calif., and Mrs. J. W. (Catherine) Findley, Mateo, Calif., and several grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hunt and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Larimore Wickett will officiate, with burial to follow in the Forrest Hills Cemetery, Greencastle. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. - thanks to Beth - so miss that sweet lady
